Bike to Run Cobbs Creek Park

There was another great park cleanup volunteer day on Saturday morning. Thanks to all who came out. This weekend we're going to shirk our work responsibilities and instead Bike to Run and get an exclusive sneak preview of the Cobbs Creek 5K race course thanks to Joe Piette, the most West Philly Runners Cobbs Creek Park expert.

Upcoming events:

Wednesday, April 4. City Year Cobbs Creek Park Cleanup. Katie is working for City Year and is planning a Spring Break service day to clean up part of Cobbs Creek near Mt. Moriah cemetery. The event is happening from 10-3pm (lunch provided for volunteers). Meet at 65th and Cobbs Creek Pkwy (on the 13 trolley line).

Saturday, April 7 at 10am. Bike to Run. Meet at EMS at 34th and Chestnut. It's a nice ride across town to 63rd and Walnut where we'll ditch the bikes and run the Cobbs Creek Park trail. Expect some nice wooded trails and skyline views. More details on the B2R site.

Saturday, April 21. Cobbs Creek 5K. We're almost there - 3 weeks and counting! This is the official West Philly Runners run and I personally challenge you all to a race. Registration is a very affordable $20 and goes to benefit kids' recreational activities in the Cobbs Creek Park.
