DST 2012 (!) and Run to City Tap House

Guest post! (by Arwin)

Last week's run was great.  The weather was warm.  The food and drinks at Heeju's were delicious.  The one downside?  It was still dark out!  Never fear... we're done with the nighttime running for the next six months or so!  This Wednesday looks to be warm and dry, with lots of post-run drinking and eating at City Tap House.

Come out and celebrate the unofficial, but incredibly awesome start of spring with your best running buddies!  Whether you're out for a run or just keeping me company on fourth loop, it's sure to be a good time.

Upcoming Events:

Saturday, 3/17. Volunteer at Cobbs Creek Park. Volunteering at the park was great this past weekend, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it this weekend. If you are interested in volunteering, you should get in touch with Joe Caesar directly at joe.caesar@phila.gov or 215-779-7211.

Sunday, 4/1. (David) April('s A) Fool(s) Run to The Grey Lodge.
Fishtown Beer Runners Commander in Chief leads a parade of mischievous fools north along the (in)famous Frankford Ave to the quite famous Grey Lodge. Sounds like an excuse for mid-day Sunday run and drinks to me.

Saturday, April 21. Cobbs Creek 5KSign up now! This is the official West Philly Runners run and I personally challenge you all to a race. Registration is a very affordable $20 and goes to benefit kids' recreational (that means sports) activities in the Cobbs Creek Park. You're basically a bad person if you don't sign up.

Sunday, May 26. ODDyssey Half Marathon. Costumed half marathon in West Philly! Do I really need to say anything more? When you register, on the 2nd screen there is a question "How did you hear about the ODDyssey Half Marathon?" Select "Ambassador" and then select Alon Abramson from the field that shows up. If we get 20 people registered under my name we'll get a post-run tent where we can drink and make merry. If we get 30 we'll get a private porter John!

This week's runs to City Tap House...
