WPR e-jawn for Wednesday November 21st

Some words from the management

Remember how horrible this summer's running was with its relentless heat and humidity? But then we all kept showing up and running together anyway and eventually the weather turned cool and we realized we were as fast as gods... Congratulations to everyone who ran the Runner's World Half this weekend and those who ran other races, ran on their own, or ate a lot of cookies. You're all heroes in your own way.

Upcoming Sportveranstaltungen

Cheslen Chase 5K/10K - Saturday 11am

Get ready to run for nature at Natural Lands Trust’s 2nd annual ChesLen Chase for Open Space, with 10K, 5K and Fun Run-Walk!  The challenge trail runs include steep hills, a creek crossing, woodlands, and open fields.
The fun continues after crossing the finish line with a post-race party at ChesLen’s Lenfest Center, featuring brews and BBQ from Victory Brewing Company, live music by the Mojo Gypsies, and an awards ceremony.

I will be driving there and heading back shortly after the race. Still some spots in my car so contact me if you're interested in running this.

Beer Runners Movie - Sunday Nov 1 3:25pm

Join us at the Philadelphia Film Festival for the Philly premier of Beer Runners, a film about the origins of the beer running movement. The film is about David April, recently divorced, using running as a way to bounce back and founding the Fishtown Beer Runners in the meantime. If you haven't heard me wax poetic about it before, David and FBR were my inspiration for founding West Philly Runners. Without him, this wouldn't be a thing.

Woodlands Gobble Wobble Individual or Group 5K - Saturday Nov 14 10am

Ever run in the Woodlands Cemetery? It's a great green space that so many of make use of and they want you to keep coming back. That's why they are holding this fun 5K race in November. Registration is high but covers a Woodlands membership and those funds raised will help them install a restroom facility and water fountain(s) on the site.
