WPR Sportscast for August 27th

More Running!

WPR Interval Workout every Monday night at 5:30pm in Penn Park (btwn the soccer fields and tennis courts). Just bring a watch. (photo by Kyle Cassidy)

Join Clark Park Fitness on Wednesday mornings at 7am for a 1mile run and Core Workout at 43rd and Chester.

A few words about this week's run

The heat is (very literally) on this week for our run, but it's nothing we can't handle. Just make sure to stay hydrated. You'll be happy you came out since we're doing something a little different this week and heading to Kyle and Jennifer's house for drinks. Their place is super cool and they're excited to host. Come on out afterwards if you can't make the run. They're located just north of Locust on 46th and you won't miss us drinking beers outside while couch Emma makes us do planks.

Upcoming Run Sport Events

WPR is turning 200 runs old on September 3rd. Devoted runners that we are, we've never skipped a week since that first run on November 3, 2010, despite the cold, the heat, the storms, and the holidays. Come run and celebrate with us!

The 4th Annual Cobbs Creek 5K, the year's best 5K, is coming up on September 20th. Registration is open so get up on it.

Registration is free for kids under 18 if they have a group of 5 or more. If you know any youth groups that we should promote the event to, please let me know.
