Marathoners

What do you know of bandits? Petty criminals, masked caricatures depicted running from the law? How about marathoners?

Bandit (v): To run a road race without paying the entry fee. As in, I was low on cash this week, so I bandit'ed the race.

West Philly Runners cordially invites you to bandit this year's Philadelphia marathon and half-marathon. Meet at Logan Circle, at the North side of the fountain (map) at 6:45am - the race begins at 7am and we'll jump in after the really fast people pass by.

Other Upcoming Events:

Cheering Squad and Post Marathon. Our friends at TerraMar invited us to join them to cheer for the marathon and for a marathon after-party at the Kite and Key. The details for the event can be found on facebook. If you are going to join them, RSVP there so they have a head count for the bar.

Holiday Lights Run with Fishtown Beer Runners and South Philly Striders. This is a wonderful and festive way to meet folks in some other local running clubs. These are beer loving folk! The run is on Thursday December 15th at 7 pm and we're starting at Broad and Oregon (you can take the Broad Street Line there) and then we'll be running through the beautifully, elaborately decorated neighborhoods of South Philly to Cantina Los Caballitos at 12th and Passayunk (again right near the Tasker/Morris Broad Street stop.
