Run and Grill

Every week before I start a new rambling running post, I check out the weather forecast for Wednesday night. Back in the winter, I needed to know whether a snow storm was coming or if the temperatures were expected to plummet. These days, my main concern is whether the weather is suitable for grilling out post-run. In late April we had a really great cook-out after our run. This week, we'll do it again. We'll gather after our run down at Plotland, Spruce Hill's community garden and gathering space located at 44th and Locust.

We will also make more West Philly Runners shirts with spray paint and stencils. Bring your own white shirts if you can, though I still have a bunch of tank-tops of various sizes. And if you want to contribute some food, that's much appreciated. I'll get some burgers, dogs and veggie stuff. Let me know if you have a grill we can use - my little Coleman can only cook so much...
