Life after the Broad Street Run

I'm sure at least a few of you, like me, are feeling a bit sore after running the Broad Street Run yesterday. Of course, for West Philly Runners, it's not about races and PRs and all that jazz. Our priority is getting together to run a bit and then hang out with some beers and/or waters.

That said, races are fun as hell and usually provide a lot of opportunity to hang out while drinking beers and/or waters. So, I wanted to share information about another fun race coming up called the Oddyssey Half Marathon coming up on May 22nd and taking place in our very own West Fairmount Park! I think you would all love this event. It features a costume contest, and some optional obstacles along the way. I personally have made it my goal to do a cartwheel at each mile marker and I'll probably be dressed as Jesus being chased by a roman soldier played by Geoff (this is to go along with those weird billboards advertising that Jesus will return on May 21st). If you register by the end of the day today (Monday 5/2) you'll save $10 on registration.
