WPR weekly deets: December 7

Some Words from the Management

(forgot to get a photo last week so here's one of last time we were at the Bottle Shop)

This week, we're going back to our roots with a return to Fiume, the first bar we went to before we outgrew it. They've recently reopened with more space so we're headed back!

All runs start at Clark Park (44th and Baltimore) and end at Fiume (45th and Locust, upstairs at Abyssinia through the side door)!

Upcoming Run Events

Holiday Lights Run - December 8 at 7pm @ Broad & Oregon Aves

It's the most wonderful time of the year! The South Philly Striders and Fishtown Beer Runners (and friends!) run the streets of South Philly to enjoy the holiday lights. The 15th Annual SPS & FBR Holiday Lights Run will be on Thursday, December 8, at 7 p.m. at Marconi Plaza (southwest corner of Broad Street and Oregon Avenue). The run ends at American Sardine Bar (18th and Federal Street).

18th Street will be closed to vehicular traffic until 9 p.m. American Sardine Bar will have two outdoor beer stations, heaters, a firepit, and porta potties. Please bring cash, as it will be CASH ONLY for the event.

As is tradition with the Holiday Lights Run, they're having a food drive to benefit Philabundance. Please bring canned and other non-perishable food to Marconi Plaza or if you would rather donate online, click the following:

The West Philly Runners 26 x 1 Mile Marathon Relay - May 13 8am

Marathons are hard. You know what's easier? Running a marathon on a team of 13 runners where you each run a single mile, take a nice relaxing beer break, and then go run one more for good measure.

This year will be the 8th Annual 26 x 1 Mile Marathon Relay and it's back on our home turf, at The Woodlands. We had two teams last time around, including the winning team, not that anyone's keeping track of these things.

Sign up today and let's get another two teams together for the best race of the year!

Runs End at Fiume
(45th and Locust, upstairs at Abyssinia)
