WPR weekly deets: February 2

Some Words from the Management

We'll be gathering for our usual shenanigans tonight, but it's time for a winter conditions PSA... Y'all know sidewalk conditions are still sus after the snow this weekend. It should be above freezing while we're out tonight, but there's still the chance that new patches of black ice will have developed on roads and sidewalks after stuff melts during the day. All to say, be careful while you're out and keep an eye on the ground. Slow down in areas that are questionable. No injuries please!

All runs start and end at Clark Park (NE corner)!
COVID Run Rules
1. Get your COVID vaccine!
2. Wear a mask while running or just hanging out if you're unvaccinated
3. Gather in Clark Park
(in the grass close to the path right near 44th and Baltimore Ave)
4. Continue to keep some distance when we gather at Clark Park and during the run.
5. Decide ahead of time what distance you're running and your preferred speed and try to learn the route. When you arrive, talk with other runners and find a group that matches your distance/pace. Do your best to accommodate people so we can have everyone running in a group.
6. Folks will go out in waves based on distance.
7. As always, don't be an asshole.

Love Run Half Marathon - March 27

West Philly Runners has a team for the Love Run Half Marathon and we want you (yes YOU!) to join us! At last count, there are 19 runners on our team and when we reach 20 we'll have our choice of our own port-a-pot or tent. Race day is still nearly 8 weeks away so plenty of time to train and stay motivated through these cold months!

Runs End at Clark Park
