WPR weekly deets: September 11

Some Words from the Management

The final Woodlands Runner's Happy Hour is happening this week, which must mean this whole "end of summer" thing is real... But it's still going to be awesomely hot and sweaty so the summer vibes live on!

Remember that Woodlands members drink for free at the happy hour. Non-members have a suggested donation of $10. If you're not a member, consider becoming one!

(huge thanks to Sean for his weekly interval workout photo!)

This week's run ends at the Woodlands!

Upcoming Run Sports

Boxer's Trail 5K - Saturday September 14

Want to be part of a great race?  Run on the Fairmount Park trail where Joe Frazier trained!
The Boxers' Trail 5K Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. The race begins and ends at Mander Playground at 33rd and Diamond Streets. The race is held in conjunction with Strawberry Mansion Day.
There is no age limit for participants in this event.  Anyone under 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian.  This can be done during the online registration process.

WPR Interval Training - Mondays at 5:30pm

Whether your training plan is calling for it or you just want to add a little variety to your running, WPR has you covered for your interval training needs down. We meet up at Penn Park every week at 5:30pm at the bike racks south of the western soccer field (if someone has a better way of describing that location then let me know...).

The standard workout is 3-5x 1000m with 400m recovery between sets and the group is very good at explaining that workout to new folks who come out... so come out!
