WPR e-jawn: July 11th

Some Words from the Management

There's so much exciting stuff coming up that I don't even know where to start! The place to start is probably with this Wednesday's run, which features both a body-weight workout by P.E.T. Core Fitness AND the Runner's Happy Hour at the Woodlands. If you are down for the workout, plan to do the 2 mile run straight to the Woodlands!

Then we have the 26x1 coming up next Saturday. There is still room on our team and we want you there! Race day sign-up is obviously fine, because it's a made up race that we organize so we do what we want. All funds we raise go to the Woodlands because they are our hosts and they are awesome.

And then we have the Mayor's Cup and Philly 10K coming up in August so definitely get registered for those races. So much good stuff!

This week's run ends at the Woodlands!

Upcoming Sports Jawns

Woodlands Happy Hour - Wednesday July 11, 7pm

Join us for a brew or two at the Hamilton Mansion after the WPR run for the June Runner Happy Hours and help celebrate our community of runners. A selection of craft beers has been generously provided by Yards Brewing Co.

This month's event will have an added bonus event. Esther from P.E.T. Core Fitness will be leading a body weight workout at the Woodlands following the 2 mile run. The workout will be around 30 minutes and is free!

The Runner's Happy Hour is FREE for members
$10 suggested donation for non-members

DELAYED 26x1 Marathon Relay Challenge -  Saturday, July 21

Everyone's favorite team marathon relay is coming up again! Get yourself registered!

All funds raised go to the Woodlands, because they're the best and they're hosting the event again this year!

Mayor's Cup -  Saturday, August 11

Runners from each and every Philadelphia community - fast runners and slow runners, trail runners and road runners, ultra-runners and 5K specialists, competitors and volunteers - coming together to represent the "team" they call their own.
5 Events, held on a single day, with a single start/finish line.  Clubs from all over the city, coming together for competition and socialization.
There are no individual winners.  The top male and female from each club, in each race, will earn points (based on ranking) for their club.  The winning club will be the Mayor's Cup Champion.

The WPR team password is "SimplePleasures" which makes me deeply uncomfortable for some reason.

Run Ends at the Woodlands
40th and Woodland Ave

6 Miler
