WPR e-jawn: April 5th

Some Words from the Management

I'd like to extend my gratitude to Pete for taking over as WPR lead -- and I'm sure doing it way better than I do. Happy to be back this week and doubly so given the gorgeous weather in the forecast. We'll be keeping things steady and heading to Local 44 Bottle Shop but we should have a new destination in the next few weeks.

Upcoming Events

Bookin for Lookin - Sunday, April 9th, 2017

This charity race event supports an important cause: to raise awareness and funds to help cure blindness! We are supporting two fantastic organizations: Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) and Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (BCABVI).
Join us and choose your challenge: 8 Miler, 5K, or Kids 1 Mile Fun Run. The 8 Miler features a beautiful, scenic course through Tyler State Park—it will simply take your breath away.

Couch OR 5K - Sunday April 22nd

Join us on Saturday, April 22 for the first annual 'Couch or 5k' at The Woodlands! This dash and dine event will feature a 5k race around the cemetery, bottomless coffee and donuts at our outdoor pop-up lounge, and a fundraiser, raffle and supply drive in support of a new Philadelphia pet pantry. Dogs welcome!

Lenape Survival Challenge - Sunday April 22nd

Early bird registration is open for one of my favorite races and all around fun time. The Lenape Survival Challenge is a 2-person race and getting together three 2-person teams means we could compete for the Tribe challenge, which we won in 2015! It's a 4.5 mile run followed by canoeing with your partner.

WPR 26 x 1 Mile Mararthon Relay - Sunday May 28th

Our very own annual race is back again and you won't want to miss it. Join the WPR team or start your own with friends. Each 13-person team runs two 1-mile laps to complete a team marathon. Teams can have fewer than 13 people and each runner does more than 2 laps. You'll need your own baton (ours is a pair of giant novelty scissors) and a torch for your team's final 0.2 mile victory stretch. During the race, it's a giant party since there's a bunch of down time while your teammates run their miles. All registration fees are being donated to The Woodlands, which is also the location for the race.

Run Ends at Local 44 Bottle Shop
