A New Year at City Tap House

Despite not consciously making any New Year's resolutions, I am feeling super excited for this new year full of running and adventures. In fact, I was so pumped for adventure that I met with the management of EMS (located at 34th and Chestnut) last week to talk about launching a WPR/EMS monthly ride-to-run event. Starting in February, we will meet on one Saturday morning each month for a group ride to a local park where we will be able to do some trail running. So, if you're like me and have felt the pull to get out on some trails, but feel guilty driving somewhere just to run, this is the perfect deal. I'll share more details as they are available, but at this time, the bike-to-run will tentatively be scheduled for 10am, Saturday February 4th and we'll be leaving from the EMS store.

In other events, Julia and Casey are signed up and really f'n excited about the Chilly Cheeks run on Sunday 1/15. Julia is driving the official WPR RAGNAR van out to this race in Reading and wants to let everyone know that she has plenty of room in her van. This is a must-do trail run. I'm sorry to say that it looks like there won't be snow on the course this year though :( If you are registered or planning on doing the event, try to hook up with Julia for a ride. The race starts at 11am so I assume she'll be aiming to leave around 9am (~1 hr drive). Event info here.

Are you doing any cool events anytime soon? Let me know!

This week we're going to City Tap House after the run, so all runs are routed there. **Note, if you have stuff with you that you want to leave somewhere, I would prefer that you try to stash it at CTH and not up in Fiume, since Kevin is getting slightly annoyed with us leaving stuff at Fiume if we're not drinking there afterwards.

The routes...
